Okay, I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with my video, not the monitor or my card, but just videos (like .avi or .mpeg), I'm using WinXP Pro x64 edition, and all of the colors are messed up, like black is yellow? It's all very bright and hard to see. But then, flash, games, and EVERYTHING else works fine. I've added codecs, adjusted refresh rates and resolutions, but nothing at all has worked. I was going to take a screenshot of it to show you all what it looked like, but when I tried to paste it into Paint it was just a black square, and odder still was that the movie would still play if paint was placed over the video so that the black square would cover it, it showed through and showed the movie. The sound and everything is fine in the videos, just the video image itself looks horrible. I've run out of ideas, so anything from you all would be GREATLY appreciated.

Much thanks.

Eheh... I feel stupid. I forgot to try changing video acceleration settings, it only messes up when video accel is on full, so I put it down to half, and it works fine. =)

Aye, nvidia card as well, had the 77.72 drivers, I'm downloading the 77.76 ones now.

Hmm, I can't seem to install it. It says it's installed, and I restart my PC, and I look at the version and it still says 77.72? =/

Did you unistall old driver from add and remove first then reboot and install?

Yes, tried that too, still wont let me install.

Hola,

try this programm, it removes the drivers from the HD, ergo deleting it...

first you should choose Standard VGA as GFX-Driver before you remove or uninstall the nVidia ForceWare driver...

good luck...

Hi BadBigBen,

I didn't know there was a removal for nvidia drivers. BTW you forgot the link to it.
Hope that helps him out. That driver drove me nuts for a couple of days.

Maybe an install from safe mode will work?

Thanks

I dunno how that happened!!!

I had put the link right in there, it must have gotten knocked down... anyhow the program is called Driver Cleaner and is freeware afaik...
