Hi I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with one of the Toshiba systems and knows where mitel does or doesnt measure up against this system. I checked the competitive intelligence on MOL but nothing was there.
My rule of thumb in this matter is that you cannot build yourself up by tearing others down. Once you start slinging dirt, some is sure to stick on you. When you point your finger, 3 (of your fingers) are pointed back at you.
In my experience as a customer, I dismiss most mud-slingers out of hand.
My 2 bits.

Agree with others. Most systems can supply dial tone and thats all 90% of the users need. There are features setting various systems apart but a lot of time it comes down to price.
I agree, play on all the positives that Mitel offer - there are many! Never mud sling, I too see sales people get portrayed in a negative manor because of this.
I Agree with the others. I am from Pre-sales and it's about what you can offer. Mitel has some excellant competitive analysis information on Mitel on-line. Not sure if this solution is listed. Just ensure that your proposal is like for like (as they rarely are), it's easy to over do the mitel.
Check with Mitel for Price support as often they will provide additional discount when up against a competitor. They want all the business they can have at the moment as they want to float the business. We often are able to get an additional 5-10% on the normal discount.
Putting a 3300 mxe up against it and now shoretel. Theres plenty of competitive intelligence on MOL for shoretel but still drawing blanks on toshiba. Then again, we already demo'd everything to them and they were very engaged while showing them this.
