Running Progress V7 on SCO Openserver. The bi file has hit the 2 gig limit. Any ideas on how to get around this with out going to a backup would be very much appreciated.
Can't truncate or start the database.

where there open transcations?
when not
delete de bi
and start with the force option.

(keep your tapes in reach)
the 2 gig limit is from progress

Gregor,

Thanks for the input.

What I had done is what you suggested. I was really trying to avoid the force. This db has over 28 million records and I will have the same file size problem trying to dump it.

Oh well, part of the job. I know what I'll be doing for the Holidays!
