hi all...

i was wondering.. i'd like to be able to load balance outbound traffic only, across my two upstream providers, using BGP...

is it possible for to do this WITHOUT accepting the full routing table from them, while only ACCEPTING default-information..?..

all help appreciated..

thanks, but i didn't say that i wanted to do it.. i was just wondering whether it can be done without accepting full routes...?...

and oh, OSPF or any IGP for that matter, is not an option with any of the upstreams..

all help appreciated..

You don't need BGP to loadbalance per-packet outbound. You need full routes from BGP to loadbalance per-destination.

ok.. thanx for the info.. if i wanna load balance on the destination path, i need full routes.. from BGP..

thanks..

Yes and no... You can take customer routes and default routes from your ISP's and do pretty much the same thing without all the overhead.
