BFS 1

User is complaining that with BFS the lamp's are not lit to show Boss is on the phone and that filtering is enabled. The BFS feature is otherwise working fine in that the calls are being forwarded to the secretary. Any idea why the lamps aren't showing? We have an option 11c and the phones in questions are 3904's. It should be noted that I have duplicated the setup in another site/switch and this is working fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

check BSFE=YES

as long as it is you should have the following

- ACT_IDLE default (WINK) (Boss’s Lamp status when BSFE is active and set is idle)
- ACT_BUSY default (FLSH) (Boss’s Lamp status when BSFE is active and set is busy)
- DACT_IDLE default (DARK) (Boss’s Lamp status when BSFE is disabled and set is idle)
- DACT_BUSY default (LIT) (Boss’s Lamp status when BSFE is disabled and set is busy)


options are
WINK, FLSH, DARK & LIT if you wish to change from the defaults

Ah! That will be it ours is set to BSFE is NO. Got some reading to do to change this !!! Thanks
