I created a BEx query in the Business Warehouse (SAP) like I have many times but this time the query is not available in the Data Explorer. I am curious if anyone else sourcing BEx queries from SAP BW has had this problem.

Thanks,
Bob

I am having the same problem. Have you found a resolution? We are using BW 3.1C and CE 10 with the (purchased) SAP connectors.

I am not sure what a BEx query is. Is this a view or SP? Crystal can report on views or stored procedures, but you must activte this under file, options.

bwdude,
We are on BW 3.0b and CE 8.5. We went to Business Objects and they thought it was a registry setting on the number of datasources that you can see in the Data Explorer. I am still not sure exactly what the problem is but we have a work-around. Typically, when I create a report I use the Crystal tool bar to initiate a report and get access to the Data Explorer. This is how I found that I could not access certain (apparently random) BEx queries. I found that if you use the BW tool bar to create a new report directly in the BW you can see them all. This method has its baggage but it does work.

dgillz,
A BEx query is a query created in an OLAP query tool called Business Explorer (BEx) that is associated with the Business Warehouse of SAP. In CE 8.5, BEx queries are handled as if they were stored procedures. As I understand it, later versions treat them as views or tables.

Thanks,
Bob
