I have a Windows 98SE PC which has the most up to date version of
DirectX (v. 8.0a) and it reports that my DirectDraw and DirectSound
drivers are "beta" and need to be replaced. The DirectX Diag tells me
everything is fine but I keep getting pop-up windows reminding me that
these drivers are beta and need to be updated.
I have an ATI Radeon 32 DDR AGP card running the latest drivers.
There is no newer version of DirectX to upgrade to. What do I need to
do to fix these errors? I'm not in a position to Format and
Re-install but comfortable with the WIN 98 Registry. Any ideas would help.
