What would be the best way to execute a crystal reports (ver 9) which contains 2 parms of which the second parm is dependent on the first?

Parm 1 equals a list part numbers and parm 2 are the customers associated to the part numbers from parm 1. I was think of using MSAccess, but having difficulties finding a way to call a crystal report from MSAccess.

Can someone give me any ideas on how to run a crystal report with a front end asking for parameters to run the report?

If you are willing to move to Crystal XI, it supports dynamic & cascading parameters.

Otherwise, consider a 3rd-party viewer (see list at: My "DataLink Viewer" supports dynamic & cascading parameters for earlier versions of Crystal. Each dynamic parameter is basically linked to another Crystal report that provides the list of values. Each such report can have its own dynamic or static parameters, providing the cascading effect...

view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Would there be a runtime version without installing the complete crystal package for either Crystal XI or DataLink?

There is no 'runtime' version of crystal, starting with Crystal v9 and newer. You can buy a 3rd party report viewer such as Ido's product.
