I need a solution for automating sales order entry for orders that are recieved via FTP.

Any solutions would greatly be appreciated.

Andy,

Do you know any of the folks at PADI in Southern Cal? They are very familiar with this tool and had to use it a couple of years ago after they lost their data and realized that they had a backup problem. Hugh Riddle at Triangle can also help you with this.

I know several folks at PADI. Have you heard how they are in the implementation of E-Synergy?

Just wondering how that was going. They are the first and only company I am aware of that had an actual plan in place to implement and use that to accomplish a very large portion of their business.

I have a few tools that look at the trans logs. The one he sent me the link to is an addition to my "bag of tricks".

Someday someone at Macola should take a look at one of these tools and see just how inefficient their "SQL" code is. The huge amounts of saving to a temp file, deleting, and inserting new records is phenomonly stupid.

As long as they maintain this type of structure, their products will never operate as well as they could.

Hi Andy,

I know that Macola does occasionally tweak there code to be more effecient in SQL. Unfortunately they only do this when the SQL code generated through their MSL object is too slow. The last word was that they only do this when the SQL product is slower than its Btrieve counterpart.
