Hello,

I have to copy data from an old database to a new database. The problem is that the new database uses newly defined relationships that differ from the old database and replace the old relations. What is the best, or a good way to copy the data.

Does DTS offer functionality to get these new relationeships corretly into the new database?

I am not sure if my question is clear, but any help is appreciated.

If you use the DTS Copyobjects (with "Createobject" options turned off), I believe that ignores relationship restraints anyway and just dumps the data into the tables.

Failing that BCP definately just dumps the data in, overriding relationship contstraints, but it's not a lot of fun to use.
