What is the best way to backup /nsr/index and /nsr/mm with
NETWORKER 7.2 on one tape , if I want use this solution in Deasaster recovery.

Is it possible to make a clone of the DATA backuped without take index files ?
Why this question ? [ponder]
Because I have 12 storage node far away my main server .

The backup et clone data are with normale speed ,
the clients are on same country than the storage node , but index are all in my main server so when clone take index from my main server the speed decrease of 80% so the clone of other filiales wait their time many long time

Thank you for your help

First Create a new group eg Indexgroup.
Make all your clienst or at least one instance of every client a member of this group.

with savegrp -o Indexgroup you backup als the cfi.
after this make a dummy scheduled backup ( just one smale file) of your networker server, this will trigger a bootstrap backup containig all the res files and the media index.

That should do the job.

By Default each group backs up the CFI at the end of the job you see the Index:clientname savesets on each volume.

You would need to create a pool for just the CFI if you want the CFI backed up but directed to a differant pool automatically, to do this create the pool and in the pool properties set Index: in the saveset content. This pool can be local to the NetWorker server.

If you dont want the CFI backed up at the end of the group you can disable this as its a checkbox in the group properties - Backup index.

By the way, the CFI backup is actually a saveset that belongs to the NetWorker server so as long as you have a device attached to the NetWorker server then the backup of the CFI can me made local using an Index pool.
On the other hand and not recommended you could prevent the CFI creation, I think its a switch on the command line but you can force the backup to be a non index backup which would mean its a saveset backup and you can only recover using saveset recover.
That should do it.
