Honest question here, what is the easiest, fastest, most cost-effective way to back-up your system?
After a recent crash, I found out that the recent backup that I'd performed (using MS's built in backup program) of my 'personal files and settings' only included the files in the MyDocuments folder, not program settings, not the outlook PST file.... arrrrgggg to say the least.
After a complete reinstall now, I want to know what works best with the set-up I currently have.
Toshiba Laptop
External HD (USB or network connected) ((XIMETA))
CD/RW drive
Preferably (for speeds sake) I'd love to be able to perform a full backup/mirror to the external HD, but because it is treated as an external HD I've got problems, right (not recognized as a valid backup device by most programs)
Back up to CDR is possible, just a pain in the butt to do on a regular basis, and can get a bit expensive in the long run.
What are the best options out there? Opinions?
