what do you consider to be the best search engine?

A friend of mine has been reccomending teoma.com, any input?

google is a very good site, but

http://www.dogpile

is great because it will search many other engines and give you the results to them as well. it searches google, ask jeeves, sprinks and many others to get the answer you need so you get results from every engine combined on one site.

Ive tried several. I prefer the original Alta Vista. I find them very "user friendly".

Google hands down, 2 reasons.

1) google has no banners,or other stuff on the page. just very simple.

2) in my view if they are good enough that they have a company like yahoo outsourcing to them (i.e. do a seach at yahoo, after 1st page it says "powered by googe&quot.

At the end of the day, if there good enough for one of the old lead runners in search engines.... good enough for me
