I am using WSS 3.0 in a hosted SharePoint environment. I would like to know what is the best practice for making an exact copy of my site, including all list & document data as well as security permissions, and then restore it to a blank site.

Since this is a hosted environment, I do not have access to the server, including Central Admin or the stsadm tool. I do have SharePoint Designer 2007, but I am not completely sure what method will back up everything including all documents, lists and the security structure.

Thank you!

Did you ever find any clever way of dealing with this? I am in the same situation now you see.
