Need some help/insight on the best practice for a user's name change.

We are currently running Windows 2003 Small Business Server, with MS CRM, and MS Exchange 2000.

We have a user who recently gotten married. (Congratulations to her!!!). She would like to use her new name for emails, logins, etc.

What is the best practice to go about doing this?

(1) Shall I attempt to change her existing account information?

-OR-

(2) Create new user, as well as a new profiles on her machine. Then have the old user account point to the new account. Forward the mail from one mailbox or another (or should I merge the boxes after a 6 month period).

Thanks in advance.

(From another web site:)

Add the new name to the email addresses on the tab in ADUC. Switch the default leaving her old one in place so that it continues to receive email, but all new messages go out with the new address.
Then in ADUC, Right click on the user and choose Rename. After entering the new name another box will appear allowing you to adjust the display name etc.
As for changing her username - I usually wait until she is moving machines or having hers rebuilt and do it then.
