What type of image works best on a report? (ie.; .gif, .bmp, .jpg, etc.) And does anyone know how to convert .dwg into compatible format or set up OLE for that type of CAD format?

There are several considerations involved; you'll have to choose which is best for your situation:

JPG uses compression, so quality suffers slightly (but may not be noticeable); I use it for photographs due to its small size.

GIF also uses compression; I use it for clipart and other 256-color images.

BMP is the fatest of the three, but might, in some situations, give you better quality. Not worth it for me, though, because the size is much larger than the other two.

Thanks for the information! I will post if I come up with anything for these CAD programs I am working with.

When simulating letter-head type reports. I use JPG because the logos are generally small, and the loss due to comperession isn't noticialable. GIF are compressed too, perhaps not as much, I'm no guro of graphics. I agree BMP is the best quality, but for large images... it can bomb the printer.
