run by CCIE's
and designed with the serious student in mind. I have
not attended any boot camps or training schools (i'm a
Network Academy student), but you can download a sample
lab prepared by a guy who is a CCIE to have a look-see
for yourself. I usually recommend these types of schools
for someone who has had at least a couple of years of
networks and cisco experience under their belts (in my
opinion).
If you don't want to spend big bucks, try ipexpert.net or ccbootcamp.com prep material. With self study and discipline you can get there. I would also suggest the following which also make great additions to your library:
Cisco Press TCP/IP Volumes I & II
CISCO Certification: Bridges, Routers & Switches for CCIEs,
ISBN0130903892
Routing Architectures by Halabi, 157870233X
Caslow and Doyle for lab books as well
Heinz will definitely prepare you for the CCIE lab. It's not inexpensive, but then his record speaks for itself. I know for a fact that 8 of 9 in my class are now CCIE's.
Prepare to work 12 hours days for 3 weeks. And it's more than labs.
You might also enjoy the culture in Germany. I certainly did.
