Best Backup program

Backup to what medium?
Right now I like using a second hard disk drive as the backup medium, and use a program that supports live or dynamic backup sessions using the Volume Shadow service of XP and Windows 2003, as well as offering a compressed archive or image feature. The new Drive Image Workstation release currently offers this feature, and I believe Acronis has promised it very soon.
