Best Antivirus?

Hi,

I am not an expert, but could anyone tell me which Antivirus programme works well with Windows 2000 Professional?

Sometime ago I had serious problems with Norton Antivirus and I had to reformat the hard disk.

I also got Panda Antivirus, and finally removed it. I don't remember the reason, may be it slowed things too much.

Does the latest version of Norton Antivirus work well with tWindows 2000 Professional?

AVG is free and has serverd me well although there are others who say it does miss some viruses.....

I agree with kippy13, AVG is as good as anyhing I've seen and there are free versions available with quick and easy updates. Also combine this with a decent firewall like zonealarm

Goot point LGman.
Its extremely important to use a decent firewall-I too use zone alarm and find its great.
Ensure to keep AVG updated and keep Zonealarm up to the most recent version though.
