I am trying to figure out the major benefit of moving a customer to something higher then release 4.1. We are installing a PRI and upgrading them from release 1 which is what they are at now.

I looked around the web and found the following:

PRI Calling Name ID – Will display the network name of calling party. (available for MICS 4.0; 4.1; 5.0; 6.0; 6.1)

PRI Calling number ID – Will show the number of the calling party as long as it is provided by the public network. (available for MICS 4.0; 4.1; 5.0; 6.0; 6.1)

Will Show Caller ID while on another call. (available for MICS 6.0; 6.1)

Am I reading this corretly ? If you have rls. 4.1 it will not show call display info on the 2nd intercom apperance ?

no one here isn't going to say that PRI's don't run on 4.1 but if want to have a smoother cleaner running PRI just go w 6.1 and there are endless threads about this also...and besides w 6.1 clid can be seen from all sets.

7316e+Kim work on 6.1 and hire
New DST schedule on 7.1
Able to use port 13 & 14 for stn mods on 7.0

Able to use port 13 & 14 for stn mods on 7.0"

I am scratching my head over this one. Perhaps someone could educate me. Thanks

Because MICS 7.x does not support Companion, the 2 ports previously reserved for Companion are now available as digital station ports (or trunk modules)

Then ports 13 and 14 are off the 2nd fiber card?
