Hello again,

Problem: The station's name does not appear on the IP Phone.

System: Avaya Aura CM 7.0

I have had this issue for a while but there was no real urgency to fix it. Now that I have some free time, I have been looking at what could be causing this issue, but to no avail.

Any idea what could be causing this?

One additional piece of information, all of my ip phones have this issue:

> 1608, 9621 and 1616 IP Phones.

The problem does not lie in your programming, you need to turn this feature on the phone itself under features/phone options. You will find an option that says name display or something like that

Are you asking if this can function like IP Office where the users name is shown on the display when idle? I don't think CM can do that.

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for your answers.

@joe2938 Strangely enough, my features is empty; unless I programmed them via the station menu.

@randycaroll Hehe, quite sad if true, will be a hard sell to my boss. They were pretty excited to replace our IPO 9.1 with Aura.

@jimbojimbo Will give it a try.

Have a wonderful weekend folks.

@Joe2938 - A mix of Avaya 1608-i, 1616-i and 9621g mostly.

google the owners manual on these as you need to go into features or call settings to enable it to show the name, off by default

Don't people know their own name? =)

My 1608 doesn't show the name connected to IPO either, think the 9611 did.

@joe2938 - Will have a look. On our old IPO, It worked like you mentioned. Thanks again for your replies.

@Janni78 - Ah, our end-users are quite peculiar :) On IPO, as Joe mentioned, name can be toggled from the features/options menu. But again, this does not appear to be high on the list of things they want from this new solution =D SFB integration next. =)

Anyway folks, thanks a lot for the support :D

I deeply understand your "beginner's headaches" here. I had my fair share of headaches with Avaya Aura, too. It's just a different case for me. Kudos to the people who often helps out beginners. Huge help, really.
