There is no easier guide that I know of. That first link is the walk through but you have to follow it and ignore the things you don't want or your platform doesn't support. Step your way through that.
The ASA is a daunting box if you have no network experience much less no cisco experience. If this is seems over your head, I would recommend a consultant. The last thing you want is a misconfigured firewall.
If choose to tackle it yourself - more power to you. If you run into problems post specific questions and configs, the people here are pretty helpful.
