Beginner with Oracle 9i

After working with the SQL + in Oracle Personal 7 in Windows 95. I just received Oracle Application Server 9i Version 1.0.2.0.0 for Windows NT. I am totally lost on even installing and configuring for use on a single computer where it runs in the Windows 2000 Professional partition of a 95 SE/Windows 2000 Professional partitioned hard drive. I am presently between jobs and need guidance to any free resources, which are available. Can anyone offer any suggestions or guidance?

I feel the same way too, I am totally lost on how to start the database, create database. I feel that Oracle is very poor organizing the documentation too, why don't they provide step by step how to start instruction?

just my feeling.
