Beginner to graphics - need help

I recently noticed that I needed to make some decent-quality pictures that will look best in 2x2cm, but must be resizeable to 15x15. I was told that vector drawing was better for that, so I installed the Illustrator trial.

The problem is, I'm completely lost, and, being a complete beginner, I haven't found the help very useful. Can someone point me to some quick online course for Illustrator, so I can learn the basics?

Help will be greatly appreciated.

If you fancy a book to read then try Adobe Illustrator CS" Classroom in a book, or Adobe Illustrator CS2 Revealed. Both of these give a good foundation to Ilustrator. When you are more proficient I would recommend Illustrator CS2 Quick start guide.

It also does not hurt to go to the source. If you can navigate the crazy interface at adobe.com, you can find 27 Illustrator tutorials.

Don't know, I saw it and clicked it anyway and then the download starts. I get a 8.2MB file and when it's complete it's on the screen.
