BEFVP41 and SSH Sentinel _NEW_version_

Hi, new version of SSH Sentinel client for BEFVP41 is out:

ftp://ftp.ssh.com/pub/sentinel/SSHSentinel1.3.1.exe

This is compatible with FW 1.20.2 as well as new Beta.

You only have to select IKE/IPSec Proposal
Settings -> Legacy proposal and select use only this prosal.

Do you mean SSH only works with Firmware 1.20.2? The newest one - 1.40.2 doesn't work at all?

SSH Sentinel v1.3 works with Linksys BEFVP41 running firmware v1.40.3 beta.

SSH Sentinel v1.3.1 works with the latest official firmware v1.40.2 if you specify that new option 'Attach only the selected values to the proposal' under IKE/IPSec proposal settings of your VPN rule. The option limits IKE proposals to minimum to let Linksys establishing the connection. That new beta firmware is much more robust and this configuration option is no more mandatory.

Sure the settings must match between the SSH Sentinel VPN client and Linksys BEFVP41 VPN gateway. Check the following URL for config info

I am using ssh 1.3.2.2 Linksys BEFVP41 4 port VPN Router firmware 1.4.0.3. Remote pc is Windows 98 SE. I connect ok can map drives and ping, but that is all I can do. I expected to be able to browse the network, access email account and print to printers, as if I was setting in my office and not in a hotel. Has anyone been able to get this configuration to work.

You can access remote resources including printer using \\remotelanIP\remotesharedresource.

Browsing does not work. In case of properly configured WINS-server you can access the resources by \\remotemane\\remotesharedresource
