There have been numerous reports that this firmware will kill v1 routers. Use at your own risk.

I have seen over 30 posts on two Linksys forums from the same individual who upgraded a U.K. Version 1 router with the U.S. firmware 1.45 and had problems.

Any beta is risky. But the problem to date has not been as widespread as MrMoke's comment would suggest.

I just killed one of my Version 1's (my personal home unit) so I'm going to agree with MrMoke.

BTW, this is the production release of 1.45, not beta.

smah,

If the firmware upgrade, (now pulled from the Website for investigation of V.1 problems), caused your router to go south Linksys is currently and quietly accepting RMAs even if out of warranty.

A cross-shipped RMA takes 3 business days.

Use this website to make the RMA:

Put in a small note saying that the upgrade to 1.45 made the unit disfunctional.

It's already on it's way. I got the RMA last night. Thanks.
