agent put the call on hold and so on.

Customer want to hear a beep on the phone when a call is on hold like his old norstar system

Can we do something ?

Like a ring back? Or a beep for the person on hold.

no the customer doesn't want the hold ring back timer,

Then you are probably boned. I don't see that option.

Are you saying the person putting the call on hold wants to hear the sound or the person on hold?

The former, no idea how it would be done.

The latter, they should be hearing music on hold or else, regular beeps if no moh is set.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

On older, different systems, when you placed a call on hold, your keyset did a single beep every 60 seconds to remind you that you have a call on hold. It didn't do the actual call ringing back to your extension like we see with the IP Office. The caller still heard your MOH, or silence if you had none. The beep is just for you to remember that someone is waiting on hold

just set it to Tone like Teleco4321 presented. It will give you the old Nortel on hold tones...

Z-man. Unless that is some sort of new function not documented it has never worked that way even after they bought Nortel.

'Tone: The use of a double beep tone (425Hz, 02./0.2/0.2/3.4 seconds on/off) can be selected as the system source. The hold music tone is automatically used if the system source is set to WAV File but the HoldMusic.wav file has not yet been successfully downloaded.'

They could have changed it now that I think about. Sorry. I think in Release 9 and up they just give dead air unless you have a music source. Prior though, you got a double beep if no music source. I will research it a bit more.
