After installing NT/Win2K agent, pc's BEEP when shutting down.Is there any way to change this?

Check the event viewer for any errors or clues.

Try uninstalling the agent and rebooting.
shut down the pc and see if it still beeps?

Another thing you could try is to stop the service and shut down the pc. What version and build do you have?

Stopping the service stops the beep at shutdown. I was wondering if this is something to be concerned about or an option in a configuration somewhere...

It looks like Veritas is aware of the problem and will be fixed in their next major release.

When shutting down a computer that has the Backup Exec Remote Agent installed and running as a service, the computer will <beep> once.
