beb 10.5 , tape barcode can not read!

the library provides the inventory of tapes and their barcodes to ARCserve, ARCserve does not read them directly.
As a test load in some new tapes and then restart the Tape Engine to see if the new barcodes show up.

Put the Tape Engine in detailed mode, stop, start the Tape Engine. Check the log for a section Library [xx] Info. It will list the # of drives, slots, stuff like that. Now look above that for a line that says Library Supports or Does Not Support Barcode. If it says Does Not run Device Config again and make sure it is selected.
Next look for a section after that listing all the slots. It should show the barcode along with the slot.
