BE9 keeps dropping connection to database

This is a new clean install and it came up fine the first time, and I tried to label my first tape, and it gave me a pop-up error about losing the connection to the BE database.

I noticed that the SQLAgent$BKEXEC wasn't started so I started that, tried to reconnect to the media server, and got another error: An unexpected database exception occured.

Anyone know what's going on?

Same issue here. Added a new Autoloader to the system already running BE9. Got the error message. Reinstalled BE with no change in result.

download the latest mdac 2.8 from microsoft - install and see if you have same problem.

otherwise run beutility.exe from program files\veritas\backup exec\nt and run some tests on the database.
