BE8.5 will not restore remote agent 1

I installed BE8.5 on NT4 SP6a network of 23 machines about a year ago. Everything was fine until I put larger hard drives into some of the machines and reinsatlled the OS. Now it will not let me put remote agent back on the drives. Tells me passwords are wrong, but passwords have been used the same as before. Admin shares are installed. Any help appreciated

Hi crazypainter,

You can run perform a silent install of the remote agent.

1. on the remote server, map a drive to the Backup Exec install CD or download path. (you can also put the cd in the remote server)
2. browse to the winnt\install\eng\i386\ntaa\ folder
3. double click on the setupaa.cmd file

now check your services on the remote server and the Backup Exec remote agent should be installed and running.

It's a pity Veritas omitted that information from their very thick manual, it would have saved a lot of heartache.
