BE8.5 in Netware 6.0 upgrade?

TechFile ID: 252047 on the Veritas website deals with "open file" backups. You need SP2 applied.
This bundle was purchased last May (NetWare 6 and BE 8.5)with no mention of "needing" BE 9.0. I emailed Veritas tech support and they say we can PURCHASE the upgrade since it is needed with NetWare 6. 8.5 is performing well (only in a LAN environment; clustering might create a problem)and I haven't as yet applied SP2 or the Open File patch from Veritas. Anyone with an open file at 11PM just doesn't get backed up. I'm afraid that applying the Veritas patch will force the upgrade to 9.0.
