IN WORKING WITH A CUSTOMER LAST WEEK, I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT CIRCUITS THAT DO NOT USE STANDARD NI2 PROTOCOL CAN BE A REAL PAIN. FROM TIMERS BEING OFF TO ANSWERING SUPERVISION BEING TURNED OFF, WORKING WITH PREVIOUSLY CUT T1'S THAT ARE NOT PRI'S CAN BE EXTREMEMLY TIME CONSUMING.

Does the systems throw errors showing the timer issue?

I have not experienced any unique problems with circuits that are not NI2. We had to install several of them with other protocols when Avaya initially changed the way NI2 worked in release 4.1.

I have had an equal number of problems with all protocols across several carriers during turn ups. The common element seems to be a "new circuit turn up" :)

I first noticed the problem with phonemanager pro. The active call pane was not showing the call ever being connected even though I could talk to the person. Also, phone manger pro was not forwarding calls properly. Once the carrier got answer supervision turned on, I corrected this problem.
