BE 8.6 / Tape Library installer error

I'm using BE 8.6 on W2K Adv Server with a CPQ MSL5026 Tape Library via a CPQ Modular Data Router. Veritas device driver installer finds the two tape drives OK but will not see the robotic arm (I'm guessing here) and I get the following error message: SetupDiGetDeviceRegistryPropery(ClassGUID) failed, error=2147024883 The data is invalid.
Anyone got any ideas? Tried everything I can think of!

Did you install the Tape Library\ Robot options when you installed 8.6? If not, reinstall 8.6, and make sure to check the options for Tape Library support.

I agree with BEntHell. That's the first thing to check and if you haven't already done it, you don't need to uninstall BE. Just run the disk again and choose the option that you require (in this case, the tape library support option).

Also, make sure you say yes to using Veritas' drivers and allowing Veritas to take control of the library.

Whoops, forgot to add...I believe the Library Tape option requires a separate license.

Thanks guys, have tried these already. I've installed all required licenses. Beginning to wonder if it's a hardware fault....BE drivers simply can't see the device perhaps? I'm postive it's not a SCSI config error...

This is OK now. I disabled removable storage manager in services (This was the cause of the original error). Also Veritas' DLT 8000 driver Odlttape.sys doesn't work (tapes flagged as bad media), used Compaq's CQSLW2N3.sys instead. Thanks everyone for your suggestions, now I just have to learn to use it properly!
