Error Message: Your Microsoft Access database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the file 'BDropCombo.ocx' version1.1. I am getting this error on a few computers, all of which are running the same version of Window XP, same version of MS Office 2002 and all have the current updates from MS. Only one in ten computers get this error. I can acknowlege the error and the db will run just fine until the next time this particular db runs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked through the references on the problem computers to see if any are marked missing?

I am a network/helpdesk geek; can you tell me where I might check the Access references? If I were to place a copy of the BDropCombo.ocx, overwriting as we went, do you think that would fix it?

You will find the references on the Tools menu of a code window. I have never heard of 'BDropCombo.ocx' version1.1., so its hard to say. Sometimes you can get an incorrect missing reference message, to put it another way, if you are missing refernce B, you can get a message that you are missing X from reference A.

The only way we got around it was to uncheck the reference in the modules window and then save the module, although we had no code in it. We only have 30 computers to do this on so we will just make the adjustment as the incident arises. I was just hoping there would be an update or something I could apply to the whole site that would fix this. Oh well, that's the way it goes.

Thanks for the help though
