BDC to join another Domain

I have a NT 4.0 BDC that I want to join another 4.0 Domain. According to Microsoft this is not possible but I have heard that you can join another domain without reinstalling NT Server. any ideas?

You may want to look into a product called "UPromote", I'm sure you can find somewhere for free...What you will probably end up doing is demoting the bdc to a stand-alone, them repromoting it.

You cannot demote a BDC or PDC to a member server.

In order to move a BDC to another domain you MUST reinstall Server because of the SID being only for that domain.

Only a stand-alone/member server can be moved.
