My client has bcm50 with 40 digital sets and 32 ip sets. The question is : the ip sets can call another extension and can hear the other party but the other party can not hear them. The intercom calling does not work on The ip phones(Avaya 1140e). It only happens to the ip phones. Any suggestions?

Just like that? whats the story?

Firmware's on sets and patches on BCM's up to the latest?
Try a couple sets on another switch?

All updates on the BCM and ip sets are up to date. Could it be the ip subnet addressed?

One-way audio problems are almost alway related to a wrong default gateway set somewhere. Remember that once the call between IP sets is established, the audio is strictly between the IP sets directly so you need to make sure the RTP stream is being sent to the right address through the right DG (or IP route if you have one).

As for Trebor18 there is no closing out the post's (leaving those whom spent time helping you hanging), answering all questions or a simple thanks.
Please in future make sure to do all the above.

Thanks
