I have a customer which has a BCM50 at their main site and wants to have phones at about 4 or 5 remote sites. All are connected via broadband (some with static IPs, some without).

Can anyone tell me if is possible to have phones at these sites without having to set up VPNs between all sites or with a hub and spoke topology. I've done this before with VPNs but wondered what other option there might be.

I am new to BCMs so I am not sure what the possibilities are. I won't be setting up the BCM but I do need to get the interconnectivity working.

Many thanks in advance.

You'd have to check to see if NAT is supported or not.

If NAT is supported, then yes you can setup remote phones without VPN

If NAT is NOT supported, you can set the BCM up with a public IP (Obviously NOT recommended)

Or, setup VPN (Recommended)
