BCM50 Voicemail messages and indicator issue 1

Hi,

I have two weird issues with BCM50 and t7316e with two users
Has anyone encountered this issue and have a fix for it ?
Your help will be greatly appreciated

First issue:
There is a delay in voice-mails.
For instance, user A checks Voice-mails yesterday and deletes them
User A comes in next day and checks voice-mails, USer A has new voice-mails but they are dated from previous day.
How do i make sure all voice-mails show up on time.
Several users have missed important messages because of it.

Second issue.
Message indicator does not light up
Message delay as well

 
I'm guessing that your time and date is stable and OK?. Are there any events showing in the alarm table?. What version of BCM 50 do you have?.

If it's an old one, you might have the original 40 gig Maxtor hard disk and they are known to cause problems. It would be very wise to get a few full system backups taken in case the disk fails.

Hi Firebird,

I am no BCM50 expert, my boss is and he is on vacation, so i appreciate the help.
When i looked at the time and date it is a 9 mins behind.
On the Alarms tab, we have a ton of alarms.
The alarm below repeats a lot
Problem:Voicemail - Message Forwarding - Mailbox 101 - A connection to the remote host could not be established.
Solution:Check the BCM network settings or the LAN network status to resolve the network issue

How do i find out what version BCM50 i have, i am in a remote office
The about page shows only installed cartridges and what version business element manager i have

 
Go to System/Keycodes to see the SW version

As for that alarm that means the BCM is trying to forward a voice mail message to an email address fro the person at 101.

That is what to remember in future to post every time you have an issue.

Did you backup the system yet? you need to do that right away while you still can.

Then perhaps you could try in this order before you install another hard drive:

- Do a restore from your backup location and select Callpilot only
if still issues:
- Do a restore from Factory Default (to wipe out all Callpilot programming), then restore from your backup location and select Callpilot only

Techs: I wonder if the hard drive is full too because of CDR?

i have not backed up yet.
I will try your suggestions as well as try to get the system patched.

I did not see the patch question but yes do that too or you may not be supported by anyone until you have done so.
