Hi All,

Question for you all. When anyone puts a call on hold in the office after a certain amount of time the held reminder goes off on their phones. However on the reception phone it also beeps and one of her intercom lights is flashing like the call is holding on that phone but it isn't. I've looked through BCM Element manager and I can't seem to find anything logical that could fix that. Help!!

Thanks! - Zack

Do feature * 0 and press that Intercom button at that reception set and make sure it really is an Intercom key (the DN of the set)
What is the timer set at?
How long after the call reminder comes on does this occur?

The recepts extension is most likely the prime set for the line or lines, remove it.

The default would be correct for this
Any call that is on hold to long reverts to the reception phone.

Did you press the flashing intercom button to retrieve the call on the reception phone.?

Hi All - thanks for your quick help! It was the prime line that was set to that DN. I took if off all the active lines and it seems to be not beeping at that station anymore... Thanks again!

Zack

If you set the held line reminder to a long time like 60 sec or more, then it would beep at the holding set after 60 sec. Then again at 90 sec. Then go back to reception after two minutes figuring no one has paid attention to this call. If you instruct people to press Feature and then Hold, it will remain indefinitely with the holding set. The held line reminder/recall to reception is useful if someone walks away from their set and forgets about the call. 2 minutes is enough time for someone to go back on line to advise continue to hold.
