I'm probably missing something very basic here but... I can't seem to get my target lines to work on a BCM50 R1. We have a 10 number range of DDI's allocated by BT. The public match digits string setting has been modified from 3 to 6 digits, the DDI numbers allocated to the target lines (all 10 numbers allocated to the first 10 target lines) and the target lines then allocated to various extensions as ring only (although I've also set them to appear & ring to no avail). I'm sure this worked initially although I'm beginning to doubt myself now!

The second issue is I can't seem to get CallPilot to answer calls on busy / no reply. The system is licensed for 10 seats. I realise that for external calls the above mentioned target lines need to work but it doesn't seem to want to play even on internal calls. Two of the extensions with CallPilot allocated are members of a broadcast hunt group that receives overflow trunk calls from E221, the others have no IC trunks allocated. Any idea's anyone??

On the target lines if you are receiving 6 digit DNIS from the carrier you need to build the last 6 digits of the number under the public received number column next to the particular target line. Also just to make sure the numbers are coming into the system you can open up BCM monitor, and go under the line monitor tab. When you call one of the DID's you should see the number coming in as alerting and then see where it goes. If the call comes in you should see the DNIS that you are getting from the carrier as well. If when you call the number it does not show up then that means it is not hitting the phone system, and it is a carrier issue.

On the voice mail issue under the sets do you have the lead voicemail extension set under the call no answer option. You need to have the lead voicemail extension in there to tell the call where to go. You can find the lead voicemail extension by doing Feature 985 then it will display the voicemail extension.

Hope that helps.

Morning Kev,

I actually posted this in the wrong section but never mind, eh! I had a bit of a blonde moment with the target lines, forgot to set the incoming line type to 'auto' instead of manual. That all works fine now.

The voicemail issue was exactly as you said. RTFM when in doubt but it wasn't exactly obvious.. Problem is, although BT sent me on various courses, if you don't work on these systems all the time you quickly forget relevant points. Age, I guess!!
