Can an BCM50 purchased from Nortel as an SRG (IE It wasnt a BCM 50 that was upgraded) be converted to a BCM 50 with a level 2 reset.

It should be able to but in the KRS it is seen as a SRG and to generate any codes the SRG key would have to be removed.

Once you have changed a BCM 50 to an SRG, there is no way of putting it back to a bcm 50.

you will need to reset the system to factory default settings (refer to NTP for steps) and remove the SRG keycode as mentioned by cook.

OK, after much deliberation here is the answer;

A BCM50 that is a factory SRG or has been upgraded to an SRG CAN be set back to a BCM50. A level 2 reset put the system back to a BCM50. New keycodes then have to be applied to have BCM funtionality. Thanks for all of your help.
