Hi. We have a BCM50 on release 6 and have connected SIP trunks from INET. I can get them working for incoming and outgoing calls but not as I want. The only way I can get incoming calls to work is to use the username in the target line (eg. 72552145). If I use the phone number allocated to the account it doesn't work - I've tried putting both (on different target lines) in but that doesn't make any difference. INET insist that all the call information is sent with the call (in the header), including the number but for some reason the BCM50 does not see it. I am sure they are telling the truth otherwise everyone would have the same problem!

I have tried numerous settings and combinations of settings but to no avail. The problem is, I don't really have a proper grasp of how SIP works. For example, in advance settings there is a drop down box with quite a few different settings but I'm not sure whether these affect incoming or outgoing calls or both. The setting INET use for DDI on their portal is 'Send called number as request URI' and there are options relating to R-URI in advanced settings but none of them make any difference although it could be that one of them needs to be set in combination with something else. Consequnently it is just poke and hope when trying out different settings!

Has anyone got any idea about how I can get this working?

I'm reading through the doc you uploaded. You mention in setting a contact override that since the account number starts with 7 you can't use it for anything else in the BCM. I also have a Sipgate account setup in my system that starts with 238xxxx. I am able to use the default DN's starting at 221 with no problems. Or am I misunderstanding what you wrote?

You're right. I was think more in terms of using 7 as an access digit. This came up because the original account number I was given began with a 9 and we are using 9 as an access digit as many people do. Using a sinlg digit rules out using it elsewhere. That is what I had in mind but you are quite right, so long as numbers are longer they can begin with the same digit and the system looks at subsequent digits.

The bad news is I now get three lines calling together!"

Just a thought but in the Inet portal make sure that the DID's are not in a (or the same) "Ring Group".
