Hi all,

First time poster, complete novice on BCM's.
Have got extensions working internally but I'm not able to dial out or in.

Using Element Manager to try and configure but could really use a bit help.

Thanks in advance.

Put your lines into Pool A and ensure that all sets have access to that Pool. Dial the access code (usually 9) and see if you get dial tone.

Thanks for the response Magna. Sorry to sound like a complete div but how do I go about that?

I don't have a 50 in front of me right now so this is from memory. It will be close enough that you could figure out the rest.

Open up Telephony > Lines and highlight one of the lines. Within one of the tabs, you can set the Pool that the line belongs to (I think the default is Public). Set it to Pool A. Repeat for all your lines that you want to add.

Then, go into SETS > Active Sets. Highlight one of your sets. Click on the Line Pool Access Tab. Ensure that Pool A is shown, if not add it. Repeat (or copy) for remaining sets.

Go to Dial Plan > Routing. Look at Route 000. Ensure that is says to use Pool A. Highlight Dest Codes. Ensure that 9 is added as a dest code set absorbed to ALL and use route 000.

This gives you dial 9 access to the lines. If you want them to actually show up on one/some/all of your phones, then I will have to look at a system to walk you through it. Somebody else will likely chime in before that happens.

Thanks Magna. Checked all of the above and it all looks spot on as you've suggested.

Is there anyway I can check the BRI's are funtioning properly?
