BCM50 Sequential Hunt Group Management

We've recently moved from using a broadcast hunt group for our front line answerers to a rotary hunt group after finally getting my boss to acknowledge that having 4 people jump and dash for the phone and get disturbed from work wasn't productive everytime the phone rang.

However, I'm unaware of any method to remporarily remove someone from the huntgroup e.g. away from desk, lunch time, day off or whatever. I initially though do not disturb was the feature to go with, but on a quick test, all that does is turn the ringer off - the call apparently still being offered to the same phone first.

Secondly - is there a way to use hunt groups as part of scheduled services? We have a couple of part time staff who answer calls in the morning (typically busiest phone time), but with a rotary group this causes problems in the afternoon (of course, if there's a good answer to Q1, then that can suffice for this as well at a stretch - I can beat the routine into people easily enough!).

hunt group as part of your schedule should work seeing you enter the hunt group number in the ringing service.
sounds to me a call center application would be better off, then people could log in or out to be available to answer calls
 
Thanks for the info Sam.

However, when I try to add a hunt group DN as the Extra Dial Set for a scheduled service, it errors with: Error happened, Error detail: 401 is not a valid Extra Dial Set.

Any other ideas?
 
got me if that does not work, sorry, thought maybe going into night mode as a possibility but that only kicks in the voice mail front, got good, sorry.
