Hi Folks,

I have a BCM50 Rls 2 with CANON IR 7100C fax behind a ATA module. There is a very strange trouble: I can not send fax from this fax but I can received them. When I try to send a fax, I don't have the tone on the line. When I replace the fax by a analog phone, I don't have the problem. The ATA2 has been already changed and tested with another BCM and it is working.
I can not resolve this issue.

Many thanks for your help.

if you can dial out from a phone then the problem is in the fax, maybee you need to insert a puse after you dial 9.

How is the phone number getting to the fax, is it a DID number?

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Thanks for your answer. The fax uses a DID.
We have tested with a Brother MFC8860, and we have the same problem. We have worked with Canon thinking that the problem was a configuration of the fax. But the problem is the same.

Thanks.

Is this POTS or PRI? You can add secondary dialtone on the PRI after the dest. code "9".
