BCM50 Rls 3.0 tp Rls 5.0 Upgrade problem. Doesn't finish?

I attempted my first BCM50 upgrade last night. Followed the upgrade guide, loaded all patches first, etc. I went into "Software Updates", and selected the Upgrade DVD in my CD tray. It finished transferring all of the 244 files, then said "retrieving files from system or BCM" or something like that, then a "Downloading" box came up...stated 0% for a minute or so, then the box went away and nothing happens. I waited at least 30 minutes thinking it would say "Update Complete" and the system would reboot, but nothing. I soft rebooted...waited, then came back and hard rebooted, and it remained at Rls 3.0. THEN- I Copied the Upgrade folder to my laptop C drive, and ran it that way and it did the exact same thing. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I just did an upgrade from ver 1 to 3 then to 5 and it has become a nightmare. In version 5 even on a new BCM the software still shows R3 anyways.

On my upgrade the IP addressing can't be changed even when wiped out and a fresh image installed. Be careful if you have IP sets installed.

It's actually less grief to buy a new 5.0 and migrate the keycode and reprogram all of it.

yeah same here. Uploaded the files started applying and then got disconnected. waited an hour no reboot logged in no alarms of the upgrade failing. maintenance window expired = round 2.
