Folks, I have requested the BCM R2 upgrade from our supplier. While I am keen to have the additional functionallity, especially the IP KEMs, I dont want a load of problems. My question to you is given the software has just gone GA should I wait. I dont have any history with the BCM so I dont know how good the software is on release. Any thoughts?

I never want to be the first user on any upgrade, let someone else be the test site for all the bug's, I'll wait at least 6 Mo.

BCM 50 r.2 is a rather minor upgrade. BCM 50 r.1 was based on the BCM 3.5 feature set. BCM 50 r.2 adds the features of BCM 3.7, such as IP KEMs, and a few other new features, such as increased conference capability. Since BCM 50 r.1 was Linux based to begin with, there is much less new content in BCM 50 r.2 than in BCM 4.0. It is likly BCM 50 r.2 will be less buggy than a "major" release might be.

I took part on the BCM50R2 beta trial and i would recommend the upgrade because everything was working fine with the upgrade itself and the new features. So you won't be the "first user" :)
