I created a Hunt Group (DN 5300) with 2 DN in (5227 and 5228). The hunt group work great, when a call extension 5300 the 2 phones ring. But when I tried to transfert call from exemple DN 5221 on the hunt group 5300, the hunt group phones don't ring. Any idea? Thanks!

Little mistake in the object, it's call forward that don't work...

After a lot of test, the call fowarding work only for internal call. External call don't ring on the phones on the hutn group. Any idea?

If you have the Physical lines Programmed to Appear& ring on any of the hunt group extns then call forwarding to the hunt group wont work,
You need to remove line appearances off the members in the hunt group.
Then try call forwarding the external call.

There is nothing to do if the line are appear and ring on the extns of the hunt group?

Go to Telephony-sets-active sets and under Line Access check your extn to see if the Physical lines are set to appear and ring.

If so then remove them from the extns that are assigned to the Hunt group.

Yes the line are at appear and ring on my 2 ext. but is there a way to keep it like it and use the hunt group?

Thank you!

NO...Not if you want an external call to be transferred.
AS i have said the Hunt group wont work if the external lines are on the extns.
In will work for internal calls as you have already proved.

Thanks a lot! Do you think Avaya will fix that bug one day?

It's not a bug. As Nortel used to say, "It's design intent." Although I don't agree with it.

Back in the day we would mimic a DID to have multiple appearances by assigning all the E&M trunks to the receptionist. Then program a target line to 'ring only' on their phone. Instead of ringing the single intercom key it would map the call to the actual trunk assigned at the key. This was helpful when they had to answer multiple calls and put them all on hold. With today's PRI's and such, this can no longer be done, but luckily Nortel instituted multiple appearances of target lines for this one reason.

Can it be changed? Yes, it can. Put in a feature change request at Avaya. We may see it when the BCM450 grows up and becomes an Option 11c.

Just my two cents..
