I need to present a full 11 digit STD DDI number as the main outgoing ident for all og calls on my PRI equipped BCM50. I tried changing the public network received number length to 10 and then entering the number (minus the leading 0) as the OLI but this didn't seem to work. I noticed that changing it to the required length of 11 still only allows for 10 digits. Ideas anyone?

Oh, I forgot to say.... the ISDN30 is using 8 channels with a common or garden variety number which is far from memorable. The (non BT) service provider has provided the customer with a geographical 'cloud' number (not a DDI range as such). This number is ported to the ISDN30 headline number. Does that make sense?

If I remember correctly the oli is normally presented as the main number of the ISDN30 service main number. Without any other programming.

If you want to use the oli DDI number per extn number then you have to go to the extn oli and enter the number there.
This will then present the DDI number rather than the main number..

It's worth making a general outgoing call on any UK line by dialing with 1470 inserted to see if you get any CLID received at the other end.

The other thing you have stated is that BT isn't your main line provider. Usually BT only allow other pre programmed numbers to be sent out to line as long as those numbers exist as incoming numbers to prevent companies sending out non existent call back numbers.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Hi Snowman, You're quite correct, the service main number is usually automatically presented as the main OLI. However, in the past I've asked BT to change this to one of the DDI numbers which they did. The trouble with that is that (as Firebird correctly pointed out) BT isn't the account provider (OK, they are but you know what I mean) and the required number isn't a DDI number but a 'cloud' number which has then been ported to the ISDN30 bearer. As has also been mentioned, I doubt if BT would allow me to send an OLI that they don't recognise as being legitimate for the reasons Firebird mentioned. Regardless of the above, changing the OLI did not work [sad][sad]!
